The Grand Seiko SBGJ251 “Shunbun” celebrates the arrival of spring in Japan with a lush green dial decorated and rose gold accents to mirror the wild cherry trees and their sakura blossoms. Shunbun is the spring equinox, a time of year that ushers in a season or birth and change. The green dial features a texture that resembles the millions of cherry tree leaves that blanket Japan’s slopes. The distinction “GMT” and the accompanying 24-hour hand are presented in warm rose gold. The hour markers and hands are sharply faceted, adding dimension and subtle contrast to the overall watch. Reference SBGJ251 also features a box-shaped sapphire crystal, 39.5mm case, three-fold clasp, anti-magnetism, and a 37-jewel movement.
